MKE Consulting Group Inc. is co-owned by Kenneth and Malaika Eban. MKE Consulting Group’s goal is to support mission driven organizations to expand their impact to create more inclusive and just communities. MKE Consulting Group Inc. is a black-owned consulting group based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Kenneth Eban
Co-Owner & Principal
Kenneth Eban is the principal consultant of MKE Consulting Group Inc. Kenneth is passionate about creating access to opportunities for all and elevating issues in community that do get the attention they deserve. Kenneth spent the first 10 years of his career developing and managing programs for nonprofit organizations, including being the founder and executive director of a local advocacy nonprofit in Minneapolis. Over the course of his career, Kenneth has led several successful advocacy campaigns in the Twin Cities and supported organizers across the country with their organizing and advocacy campaigns. Kenneth has extensive experience in nonprofit management, program development, fundraising, community organizing, coalition building, coalition management, policy analysis, and advocacy. Kenneth was born and raised in the Twin Cities and graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a degree in political science.
In his spare time, Kenneth enjoys playing and watching a variety of sports. Kenneth is a deeply passionate fan of the Minnesota Timberwolves and knows they are on the verge winning multiple championships.
Malaika Eban
Co-Owner & Consultant
Malaika Eban co-owns MKE Consulting Group Inc. Malaika is passionate about protecting and expanding the rights of marginalized communities and building systems that support people rather than punish them. Malaika has spent the first 10 years of her career developing and managing programs for nonprofit organizations. Before moving to Minneapolis, Malaika ran an after school and summer enrichment program for 150 middle schoolers in Durham, North Carolina. Since then, she has worked in a variety of organizations and roles gaining extensive experience and developing a diverse skill set that includes strategic planning, restorative facilitation, program management, advocacy, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, coalition building, and coalition management. Malaika grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana before graduating from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree. After moving to Minneapolis, Malaika earned her Master of Public Policy degree from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a Master of Social Work degree from University of Minnesota School of Social Work. She now serves as the Executive Director of the Legal Rights Center and is an adjunct faculty member in the University of Minnesota’s School of Social Work graduate program.
To unwind, Malaika likes to read, cook, and spend time outdoors. Malaika dreams of growing a full vegetable garden to feed her family and community, but squirrels keep digging up her seeds.
